An active composer and bandleader in the Northern Colorado music scene, Jack McManaman is also a versatile guitarist.
Jack is a guitarist, composer, and private instructor playing around the Northern Colorado and Front Range Music scene in Denver, Fort Collins, Boulder, Longmont, and Greeley. From 2016-2017, Jack was a member of the University of Northern Colorado's premier Birdland Combo, the second highest small group in their world-class jazz studies program, as well as the guitarist in the 2017 Downbeat Award-winning Northern Colorado Voices ensemble. Jack composes for and plays in multiple jazz groups as well as a shoegaze/math rock band called Quentin. He also works as an active freelance guitarist and full-time guitar teacher in Fort Collins and Greeley. A Colorado native, he grew up in Longmont and began his jazz guitar studies with Eric Wiggs in Boulder starting in 2011. In 2013, he began his studies at the University of Northern Colorado with Steve Kovalcheck, and completed his degree in Spring of 2017. Jack lives in Fort Collins with his girlfriend Allie and his dog Zooey.
